The Right Press…

Since Sarah Palin entered the national political scene she has been criticized, critiqued, mocked and bashed arguably more-so than any other candidate in recent memory (aside from post election President Obama). Most politicians would have cracked under the pressure and faded away into the night quietly. Why can’t the Left understand that they make her and the Conservative movement stronger by their negative mockery?

At her recent speech to the Tea Party Convention in Nashville, Sarah Palin referred to notes on her hand to answer questions asked by her fellow Republicans. The main-stream media had a field day with this news, and immediately questioned her intelligence (again) and ability to become President (again).

It’s not odd to see the media make fun of a Conservative Republican, but it is odd to see White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs mock Palin for the use of notes, when our President (his boss) cannot utter a complete sentence without a TelePrompTer. What is more embarrassing, Palin reminding herself of a few talking points by writing on her hand; or President Obama thanking himself for inviting himself during a speech in Ireland or his use of a TelePrompTer to speak to a class of sixth graders? Ironically enough, President G.W. Bush who the Left (and many on the Right) despises and depicts as a babbling idiot; was not the most elegant speaker…but whatever he said didn’t need to be read word for word off of a TelePrompTer screen.
